ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Regional Sales Manager – North will drive the overall sales strategy for the stationery

category across the North region.This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and scale a growing

business while strengthening the regional market presence. The position involves leading

regional sales teams, expanding and optimizing distribution networks, and establishing strong

relationships with channel partners, retailers, and institutional customers. The role also focuses

on driving revenue growth, enhancing market penetration, and building a robust and scalable

distribution ecosystem across the North region.

PURPOSE AND IMPACT OF YOUR ROLE:

Develop and execute zonal sales strategies for the stationery category to meet or exceed

revenue and volume targets across the assigned zone.

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Regional Sales Managers, Area Managers, and frontline

sales representatives to achieve individual and zonal business objectives.

• Drive expansion and strengthening of distribution networks, ensuring deeper market

penetration across urban, semi-urban, and rural markets.

• Identify, onboard, and grow key channel partners, distributors, modern trade accounts, and

institutional clients to enhance category reach and visibility.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, trade partners, and institutional

stakeholders to drive sustained sales growth and customer loyalty.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights specific to the stationery

segment to identify growth opportunities and recommend product or pricing strategies.

• Conduct regular business reviews, sales performance evaluations, and capability-building

initiatives to strengthen team productivity and effectiveness.

• Prepare and present zonal sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior

leadership, highlighting key achievements, risks, and growth opportunities.

• Ensure effective pipeline management and utilization of CRM systems to track sales

performance, distributor health, and market coverage.

• Travel extensively within the zone to review field performance, engage with key stakeholders,

and ensure seamless execution of business strategies.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

 8–12 years of progressive experience in Channel Sales with strong exposure to distribution-driven market expansion

 Only prior experience in Stationery preferred

 Graduate / MBA in Marketing or Business Management

 Proven track record of managing regional or multi-territory sales operations and delivering revenue growth

 Strong experience in distributor management, channel expansion, and market penetration across geographies

 Demonstrated ability to lead sales teams and drive performance excellence

 Proficiency in sales planning, forecasting, and using CRM tools
