Job Title: Head of Department (HOD) – Aerospace Engineering

School of Engineering

Eligibility Criteria:

Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline (mandatory).

Strong academic record throughout.

Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 55% marks.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 8–12 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in higher education.

Must have worked as Associate Professor or Assistant Professor with departmental leadership responsibilities.

Prior experience as HOD / Program Head / Academic Coordinator will be preferred.

Strong research background with publications in reputed / indexed journals.

Experience in funded research projects, consultancy, patents, or industry collaboration is an added advantage.

Role & Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Aerospace Engineering department and its academic operations.

Oversee curriculum planning and implementation aligned with industry standards and accreditation requirements (NBA / NAAC).

Manage faculty allocation, mentoring, development, and performance evaluation.

Promote research, publications, funded projects, and innovation within the department.

Coordinate industry collaborations, MoUs, internships, and placement initiatives.

Ensure high standards of teaching quality, student engagement, and academic governance.

Support accreditation processes, audits, and compliance requirements.

Supervise development and maintenance of labs, workshops, and research facilities.

Guide students in academic progression, projects, and research activities.
