Engineer Dean – School of Engineering
Eligibility Criteria:
Ph.D. in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication / or allied discipline) – Mandatory
Strong and consistent academic record throughout.
Master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
Educational qualifications from reputed institutions preferred.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 15–20 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in higher education.
Must have served as Professor with significant academic leadership exposure.
Prior experience as Dean / Associate Dean / Head of Department / Academic Head is highly preferred.
Strong research profile with publications in reputed indexed journals (Scopus / SCI / UGC Care).
Proven experience in:
Securing research grants & funded projects
Consultancy assignments & industry collaborations
Leading accreditation processes (NBA / NAAC / AICTE compliance)
Experience in strategic academic planning and institutional development is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic & Strategic Leadership
Provide overall vision, leadership, and direction to the School of Engineering.
Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with institutional goals.
Lead curriculum innovation in line with industry trends, emerging technologies, and global standards.
Ensure compliance with UGC / AICTE / NBA / NAAC regulations.
Faculty Leadership & Development
Lead recruitment, mentoring, and performance management of faculty members.
Foster a culture of academic excellence, research, and innovation.
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration across departments.
Research & Innovation
Strengthen research output, publications, patents, and funded projects.
Encourage consultancy and industry-sponsored research.
Develop research centers of excellence within the School.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
Drive NBA / NAAC accreditation processes.
Implement Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework.
Ensure continuous quality improvement in teaching-learning processes.
Industry & Institutional Engagement
Build strong industry partnerships, MoUs, internships, and placement initiatives.
Represent the School in academic, corporate, and regulatory forums.
Support admissions growth and institutional branding.
Student & Infrastructure Development
Ensure high academic standards and student success.
Oversee laboratory modernization, research facilities, and academic infrastructure.
Promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and incubation initiatives.
