Description
The CPTO will be responsible for end-to-end product ownership and technology vision at company—driving innovation, scalability, and user-centric design. This leader will balance strategic foresight with hands-on execution, aligning technology and product development with business goals in a hyper-growth, startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership
Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the company’s growth trajectory.
Lead product teams to build scalable, intuitive, and impactful solutions for learners and educators.
Champion a data-driven, customer-first culture, ensuring product-market fit and continuous innovation.
Drive experimentation, personalization, and AI/ML adoption to enhance learning outcomes.
Technology Leadership
Own the technology vision, architecture, and infrastructure to support high growth and scalability.
Lead engineering teams across backend, frontend, mobile, AI/ML, cloud, and data platforms.
Ensure robust, secure, and reliable systems to handle millions of concurrent users.
Build a culture of engineering excellence, agility, and innovation.
Organizational Leadership
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing Product & Tech team (Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, Data Scientists).
Foster a culture of collaboration, speed, and ownership in line with startup values.
Partner with business, operations, and academic teams to ensure product & tech deliver business outcomes.
Represent company’s technology vision externally (investors, partners, media).
Key Requirements
15+ years of experience in product & technology leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CPTO, CPO, CTO, VP Product/Tech).
Proven track record in scaling B2C or EdTech/Consumer Internet products with millions of users.
Strong understanding of consumer product ecosystems (apps, content, payments, personalization, community).
Deep expertise in scalable architectures, cloud-native systems, AI/ML, data analytics, and mobile-first design.
Startup/fast-growth experience – proven ability to build from 0→1 and then scale 1→100.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Passion for education and impact at scale.
