Job Overview:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will conceptualize, design, and create textile patterns and fabric designs that align with our brand identity and market trends. This role requires collaboration with various teams, including product development and manufacturing, to ensure seamless execution of designs from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Creation:
Develop original textile designs, prints, and patterns for fabrics and materials.
Incorporate seasonal themes, color palettes, and market trends into designs.
Experiment with various techniques such as weaving, printing, embroidery, and dyeing.
Research & Inspiration:
Stay updated on textile design trends, materials, and innovations.
Conduct research on market preferences and competitor designs.
Gather inspiration from art, culture, and historical textiles to create unique concepts.
Collaboration:
Work closely with product developers, production teams, and clients to ensure designs meet project specifications and quality standards.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
Technical Development:
Create detailed technical drawings and design specifications for production.
Ensure all designs align with production feasibility and material limitations.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) tools or other software to enhance and finalize designs.
Project Management:
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budgets.
Ensure all deliverables are submitted in line with deadlines and client expectations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in textile or fabric design.
Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW).
Strong drawing, painting, or other artistic abilities.
Knowledge of textile production processes, materials, and techniques.
Attention to detail with excellent color sense.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in sustainable textile design.
Familiarity with 3D design tools and emerging technologies in textile manufacturing.
