Sales Head – Electrical Switchgear, Wires & Fans

Reporting To: Business/Regional Head or Managing Director

Location: Chattisgarh

🌟 Role Overview

As Sales Head, you’ll spearhead overall sales strategy and execution across switchgear, wires, cables, and fans. You will be accountable for revenue growth, profitability, dealer/distributor network expansion, and team leadership across your region or market.

​

📌 Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

Develop and implement comprehensive sales and market development strategies aligned with company goals.

​

Set annual/quarterly targets, monitor performance, and pivot tactics as needed to meet objectives.

​

Forecast sales, identify market trends, and proactively seize growth opportunities.

​

2. Channel Management & Network Expansion

Strengthen existing distribution/dealer relationships and onboard new partners in priority regions.

​

Ensure channel health through regular communication, support, and performance reviews.

​

Lead strategic engagement with key accounts including OEMs, contractors, and large institutional buyers.

​

3. Profitability & P&L Accountability

Manage pricing strategies, margin optimization, and deal negotiations.

​

Oversee execution of promotional schemes and special offers to maximize ROI.

​

Track performance against budget, analyze variances, and implement corrective measures.

​

4. Sales Operations & Process Excellence

Streamline order processing, CRM usage, and operational workflows to boost efficiency.

​

Implement disciplined payment follow-up, receivables tracking, and account reconciliation.

​

Develop robust systems for reporting weekly/monthly metrics and conducting business reviews.

​

5. Team Development & Leadership

Build, lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team (ASMs, sales executives, support staff).

​

Set clear performance targets, conduct regular coaching, and drive continuous improvement.

​

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.

​

6. Market Intelligence & Competitive Insights

Keep abreast of competitor actions, pricing models, and new product launches.

​

Gather and relay market intelligence to inform product development, positioning, and marketing strategies.

​

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client forums.

​

🎯 Desired Profile

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical, BBA/B.Com); MBA preferred.

​

Experience: 10–15+ years in sales leadership within the electrical industry (switchgear, wiring, fans); proven channel sales & P&L management experience.

​

Skillset:

​

Strong network and relationships across the electrical sales landscape.

​

Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, negotiation, and business acumen.

​

Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.

​

Fluent in English and local/regional language(s).

​

Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and sales analytics tools.

​

Behavioral Traits: Results-oriented, decisive, customer-centric, adaptable, with high integrity and drive.
