Department: Student Support Services (DoSSS)
Reports To: Assistant Director / Director – DoSSS
Location: Anekal, Bangalore
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
The Proctor serves as a key student affairs professional within the Department of Student Support Services, responsible for monitoring student conduct, ensuring adherence to university policies, and supporting the overall discipline and welfare framework. The role involves mentoring students, managing behavioral issues, facilitating grievance redressal, and promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and enforce university rules, codes of conduct, and disciplinary procedures.
• Serve as a first-level support for addressing student behavioral concerns and misconduct.
• Act as a liaison between students and the university’s disciplinary committee when required.
• Maintain accurate records of cases and interventions, ensuring confidentiality and procedural fairness.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to assigned student groups, encouraging positive engagement and accountability.
• Assist in resolving student grievances related to academic and non-academic matters.
• Participate in campus patrols or assigned duties during major events to ensure discipline and safety.
• Collaborate with faculty, hostel wardens, and administrative staff on student welfare matters.
• Promote awareness of student responsibilities, rights, and behavioral expectations through workshops or orientations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in student support, campus administration, or disciplinary oversight (preferably in a university setting).
• Strong understanding of student behavior, conflict resolution, and counselling principles.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and integrity.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
