Position Overview:

The Professor and Head of Finance & Accounts will lead the Finance Department, guiding academic programs, research initiatives, and administrative functions. This role combines teaching, research, and departmental leadership to enhance the educational experience and advance the institution’s mission.

- Train faculty for specialized subjects such as derivatives, financial modelling, SAPM, and risk management to enhance the quality of education.

- Train finance students in domain knowledge and skills to prepare them effectively for placements.

- Train faculty members in LPSP preparation and guide them in creating skill-oriented, outcome-based LPSPs.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA):

Train student of Finance domain to

1. Leadership and Administration:

- Provide strategic direction for the Finance Department.

- Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with industry standards.

- Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.

- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students.

2. Teaching and Mentorship:

- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level finance & related courses.

- Mentor students and junior faculty in research and career development.

- Develop innovative teaching methods and incorporate technology in the classroom.

3. Research and Publication:

- Conduct high-quality research in finance and publish findings in reputable journals.

- Secure funding for research projects and initiatives.

- Collaborate with other departments and institutions on interdisciplinary research.

4. Industry Engagement:

- Build relationships with industry stakeholders and alumni.

- Represent the department at conferences, seminars, and public events.

- Encourage student involvement in finance-related community service and internships.

Qualifications:

-Education

- Ph.D. in Finance or a related field from an accredited institution.

-Experience

- A minimum of 15 years of teaching experience at the university/College level.

- Proven track record of research publications in top-tier finance journals.

- Prior experience in departmental leadership or administration is preferred.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.

- Proficient in quantitative methods and financial modelling.
