our client is building products where \*\*Flutter UIs, native bridges, and small AI models (SLMs, voice)\*\* work in harmony. As \*\*Tech Lead, Frontend & On-Device AI,\*\* you’ll spearhead the effort to deliver \*\*low-latency, cross-platform mobile experiences\*\* that feel magical — blending world-class UIs with optimized AI inference.
As Tech Lead, Frontend & On-Device AI, you will:
🛠️ \*\*Lead Cross-Platform Mobile Development\*\* — Drive the development of production-grade apps with \*\*Flutter/Dart\*\*, while knowing when to lean on \*\*Swift/Kotlin native modules\*\* for performance-critical AI/audio.
🎯 \*\*Integrate AI Models into Interfaces\*\* — Embed \*\*SLMs, voice models, and multimodal AI\*\* into apps with a focus on \*\*latency, memory efficiency, and user experience\*\*.
⚙️ \*\*Deploy & Optimize On-Device Models\*\* — Work with \*\*TensorFlow Lite, CoreML, PyTorch Mobile, ONNX Runtime\*\* using \*\*quantization, pruning, and distillation\*\* to achieve real-time inference.
🏗️ \*\*Architect AI-First Features\*\* — Ensure \*\*frontend, native bridges, and backend APIs\*\* are tightly orchestrated.
🔄 \*\*Collaborate Across Disciplines\*\* — Partner with AI researchers, designers, and backend engineers to build polished \*\*AI-native features\*\*.
⚡ \*\*Prototype Fast, Ship Faster\*\* — Lead rapid experimentation and push \*\*new AI-powered experiences\*\* into production.
What You Bring:
- \*\*5+ years of engineering experience\*\*, with strong foundations in \*\*frontend/mobile\*\*.
- \*\*Deep expertise in Flutter/Dart\*\*, with proven track record shipping \*\*iOS & Android apps\*\*.
- Experience bridging \*\*Flutter with native (Swift/Kotlin)\*\* for performance-critical paths.
- Proven experience building \*\*AI-powered user experiences\*\* (SLMs, voice, multimodal).
- Familiarity with \*\*on-device ML deployment\*\* (TFLite, CoreML, PyTorch Mobile, ONNX Runtime).
- Strong grasp of \*\*mobile performance constraints\*\* (latency, memory, battery, offline).
- Experience mentoring teams and driving \*\*best practices at the AI × Frontend interface\*\*.
\*\*Bonus:\*\*
- Hands-on deployment of \*\*SLMs or voice models on-device\*\*.
- Contributions to \*\*open-source Flutter or AI projects\*\*.
- Experience with \*\*multimodal AI\*\* (vision, speech, text).
- Skills in \*\*low-level profiling\*\* (token streaming, audio pipelines, GPU/NNAPI/ANE optimization).
