Job Description: Head Counselor
We are seeking a results-driven and empathetic Head Counselor to lead the admissions counseling team and oversee the conversion of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) into confirmed enrollments. This role combines strategic leadership, counseling expertise, and hands-on involvement to ensure a seamless and supportive admissions journey for prospective students and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the admissions counseling team to maximize performance and productivity.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills in counseling and lead conversion.
- Set individual and team goals aligned with enrollment targets.
Counseling and Conversion:
- Handle high-priority or complex leads to guide them toward enrollment.
- Oversee the counseling process, ensuring effective nurturing of SQLs.
- Build strong relationships with students and parents, addressing their needs and concerns.
Process Optimization:
- Develop strategies to improve SQL-to-enrollment conversion rates.
- Monitor the admissions pipeline to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with inside sales and marketing teams to align lead quality and ensure smooth handovers.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Track and report performance metrics, including conversion rates and counseling effectiveness.
- Use data insights to refine counseling strategies and improve outcomes.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Handle escalations related to admissions counseling with professionalism.
- Provide updates to senior management on progress, challenges, and insights.
Customer Focus:
- Ensure a positive admissions experience for students and their families.
- Address concerns empathetically to build trust and confidence in the institution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s in Education, Psychology, or Business Administration preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in admissions counseling or education sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving enrollment targets.
- Strong communication skills in English and regional languages.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, data analysis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of the UG education landscape in India, including courses and competitive exams.
