Job Title: Director of Sales
Location: Delhi, India
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead and drive admissions at a private university in Delhi. The role requires a strategic leader who can manage a large team of 100+ sales counselors, ensure an exceptional student experience, oversee walk-ins, and take full ownership of the department’s Profit and Loss (P&L).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive Admissions and Enrollment:
Develop and execute robust sales strategies to achieve and exceed admissions targets.
Oversee the end-to-end admissions process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for prospective students.
Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to optimize the university’s offerings.
2. Team Leadership and Management:
Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a team of 100+ sales counselors.
Establish clear performance metrics and ensure the team meets or exceeds these goals.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. Manage Walk-ins and Student Engagement:
Oversee walk-in inquiries and ensure a high conversion rate through effective engagement strategies.
Develop initiatives to enhance prospective students’ experiences, making the university a preferred choice.
4. Financial Oversight:
Own and manage the P&L for the admissions department.
Optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability while ensuring high-quality operations.
Prepare and present regular reports on financial and operational performance to senior leadership.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns that drive inquiries and walk-ins.
Liaise with academic and administrative departments to align sales efforts with institutional goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background: MBA/PGDM or equivalent, preferably in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the education sector.
Skills:
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving large teams.
Strong understanding of P&L management and financial acumen.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze and act on insights effectively.
High energy and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
