Job Description: Senior Manager – Learning and Development
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager – Learning and Development to design, implement, and manage strategies that enhance employee skills and organizational performance. The role involves driving a culture of continuous learning, fostering employee development, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning and Development Strategy:
Develop and execute the organization’s learning and development (L&D) strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Conduct regular training needs analysis to identify skill gaps and prioritize learning initiatives.
Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to introduce best practices.
Program Design and Delivery:
Design and implement high-impact learning programs, including leadership development, functional skills training, and soft skills enhancement.
Leverage a mix of training formats such as in-person workshops, virtual sessions, and self-paced learning.
Partner with internal stakeholders to create role-specific development programs.
Leadership Development:
Build and manage programs focused on leadership pipeline development and succession planning.
Coach and mentor senior leaders to enhance their effectiveness and prepare them for future roles.
Performance Management and Evaluation:
Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of L&D programs, ensuring ROI and alignment with business outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate the performance impact of training initiatives on employee productivity and engagement.
Team Management and Collaboration:
Lead and inspire a team of L&D professionals, ensuring high performance and creativity.
Collaborate with HR and business leaders to address talent development needs.
Manage external training vendors and consultants.
Technology and Innovation:
Implement and manage modern learning technologies, including LMS platforms and e-learning tools.
Introduce innovative learning methods such as gamification, micro-learning, and AI-driven solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
8+ years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of designing and implementing successful L&D strategies.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with learning technologies, tools, and platforms.
Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and demonstrate the impact of learning initiatives.
