This role involves developing and executing strategies to enhance the category’s growth, managing academic

content, coordinating with faculty, driving student enrollments, and ensuring high-quality student outcomes. The

Category Head will work closely with the academic, sales, marketing, and technology teams to ensure the success

of the programs.

Essential Job Functions

1.Category Strategy & Growth:

● Identify trends, market needs, and student preferences to enhance offerings.

● Drive business growth by increasing student enrolments and improving retention.

2. Academic & Content Management:

● Oversee the development and curation of high-quality study materials, video lectures, test series, and mock

exams.

● Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and faculty to ensure comprehensive course coverage.

● Ensure alignment of content with the latest exam patterns and syllabus updates.

3. Student Experience & Performance Enhancement:

● Monitor and improve student learning experiences and academic outcomes.

● Implement doubt-solving mechanisms, mentorship programs, and performance tracking systems.

● Recruit, manage, and mentor top-quality faculty and subject experts.

● Ensure effective faculty training and development to maintain teaching excellence.

5. Marketing & Sales Support:

● Work with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns for student acquisition.

● Assist in creating promotional content, including demo classes, webinars, and social media initiatives.

● Collaborate with the sales team to provide insights on student expectations and parent concerns.

6. Technology & Digital Learning:

● Enhance the category’s digital presence through e-learning platforms and mobile applications.

● Work with product and tech teams to improve user engagement and experience on digital platforms.

● Implement AI-driven analytics for personalized learning and adaptive test preparation.

7. Financial & Performance Analysis:

● Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as student enrolments, engagement, and exam success rates.

● Manage category P&L (Profit & Loss), budget allocation, and cost optimization.

● Generate reports and insights for data-driven decision-making.

8. Partnerships & Industry Collaborations:

● Build strategic partnerships with coaching institutes, schools, and ed-tech platforms.

● Collaborate with industry experts, exam toppers, and influencers for brand-building activities.

Education Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Engineering, Science, or a related field.

● 7-12 years of experience in ed-tech, test preparation, or academic management.

● Proficiency in digital learning platforms, LMS, and online education tools.

● Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.

● Excellent leadership and team management skills.
