Job Title: Purchase Head

Location: Manesar

Department: Procurement/Supply Chain Management

Experience Required: 10-12 years in procurement/purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing

environment

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Head to oversee and manage

our procurement department. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of

purchasing in the manufacturing sector, strong leadership abilities, and a track record of

managing complex procurement processes while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely

delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory Management: Work closely with the production and inventory teams to andh

company goals, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality raw materials, components,

and services are sourced.

 Supplier Management: Identify and establish relationships with key suppliers and

negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any

issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.

 Inventory Management: Work closely with the production and inventory teams to

forecast material requirements, maintain optimal inventory levels, and prevent

stockouts or overstock situations.

- Cost Control & Budgeting: Develop and manage the procurement budget. Identify

cost-saving opportunities, negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to maximize

savings.

- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies,uding

production, quality control, logistics, and finance, to ensure the timely availability of

materials and minimize production downtime.

- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies,

procedures, and industry standards. Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts,

and documentation.

- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team.

Ensure effective performance management and provide training opportunities for

team members.

- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop

mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the production schedule.

- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost

analysis, savings, supplier performance, and inventory status to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Experience: 10-12 years of experience in procurement and supply chain

management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing

industry.

- Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: In-depth understanding of manufacturing

processes, production planning, and material requirements.

- Supplier Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with experience in managing

contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.

- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and

high-performance environment.

- ERP & Procurement Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) andy to

analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

- ERP & Procurement Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and

procurement management software.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability

to collaborate across multiple departments and interact with vendors effectively.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering,

or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPIM) is

a plus.
